  • Business Development opportunity to represent and actively contribute to the continued growth of Australia’s largest and most successful Early Phase Clinical Research Group • Working with the World’s best Biotech/Pharma clients and CRO’s.


Nucleus Network Pty Limited (NN) is Australia’s largest Early Phase clinical trials business headquartered in Melbourne, Australia’s medical research, academic and cultural/sporting hub. Our clients include a range of leading international US, European and Asia Pacific based Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies who engage NN to carry out early phase clinical studies in healthy volunteers and specific patient populations in order to help develop new medicines.   Purpose


Identify, explore and pursue tactical and strategic business development opportunities with a focus on early development in order to maximize high quality lead generation and business growth



  • Responsible for driving growth (quality and quantity) of opportunities with both new and existing customers, with an emphasis on high quality new lead generation, as well as customer relationship management and repeat business • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market trends, emerging opportunities and key players in the US Biotech/Pharma market. • Actively network to establish key relationships and to identify new opportunities and productive high value networks/forums in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry • Effectively generate, negotiate and close business deals • Build strong relationships with the relevant individuals/departments and maintain in depth knowledge of their needs and decision criteria in order to support lateral business opportunities • Identify and attend high impact conference/events • Represent customer needs to internal functional departments and if required follow up on the proposal and contract development process •  Maintain CRM and business development databases to build corporate knowledge and market intelligence


Qualifications & experience

  • Proven track record of sales and/or business development within the U.S. Biotech/ Pharmaceutical/ CRO/ VC  Industry with established networks/relationships  in the indicated region • Good knowledge of the clinical drug development process with Early Phase experience a differentiator • Outstanding interpersonal skills • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Pro-active and result oriented team player • Scientific/healthcare background beneficial • Flexibility to accommodate working across international timezones, Prospecting ability a must.
