Genea Biocells is co-sponsoring the “2017-2018 SD Skeletal Muscle Seminar Series” with Sanford Burnham Prebys. The goal of these free monthly talks is to promote skeletal muscle research, enhance its visibility, and strengthen the skeletal muscle community. The next seminar will be held Thursday, January 11th at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute Bldg 12- Auditorium from 1pm-2pm located at 10905 Road to the Cure, San Diego, CA 92121.

Anne Bang, Ph.D., Director-Conrad Prebys Center for chemical Genomics, SBP, will be giving a talk entitled, “Patient-Specific Cell-Based Disease Models of Congenital Muscular Dystrophies for Drug Discovery,” and Karen Christman, Ph.D., Professor, Jacobs School of Engineering, UCSD, will be giving a talk entitled, “Injectable biomaterial approaches for regenerating muscle.” To find out more about the series please visit: sbpdiscovery.org/muscle.
